National Dong Hwa University (NDHU) and the Maiora Renewable Energy Pte Ltd (MRE) recently signed a memorandum of cooperation, reaching a consensus on jointly promoting green energy development, ecological environmental conservation, and community sustainable development.

In addition to using ecological monitoring to ensure that the MRE Hualien projects, Hsinsheng and Hsinren, develop in a balanced manner with the environment, research data will also be integrated to establish an ecology and green energy planning assessment framework applicable to Taiwan's renewable energy projects, focusing on environmental, social, and economic elements to ensure that green energy facility planning can find the optimal solution for coexistence and prosperity with environmental conservation and local social development.

The MRE team is collaborating with the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Ecology and Sustainablity (CIRES) at NDHU to create a green energy site based on the landscape. In the future, they will also conduct ecological monitoring research from site design to completion.

Taking the protection of the local environment as the starting point of cooperation, MRE and NDHU also plan to carry out long-term industry-university technology exchange and internship cooperation, hoping to further promote talent cultivation, inject vitality into Taiwan's green energy industry, and create a sustainable and co-prosperous ecosystem connecting the new generation of talents, local employment, and industrial upgrading.
