The National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), led by Minister Wu Cheng-Wen, visited the "Center for Interdisciplinary Research on Ecology and Sustainable Technology (CIRES)" with approximately 40 committee members on Sunday, November 10.
Upon arriving in Hualien, the committee members went directly to National Dong Hwa University, where they met with President Hsu Huiming. They then proceeded to the CIRES conference room at the College of Environmental Studies & Oceanography.
At CIRES, represented by Professor Tai Hsing-Sheng, researchers introduced the center's research goals, development directions, and ongoing research projects & results to the committee members through presentations and poster displays.
